Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ were launched in India on April 19, 2017. Galaxy S8 is priced INR. 57,900, while its upgraded version Galaxy S8 Plus is priced INR. 64,900. Both the models boast of Infinity display.
The Indian variants of both the phones will be powered by Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC and not by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which powers the global variants. Samsung’s chip is expected to deliver an impressive performance.
Samsung’s all-new AI-based (Artificial Intelligent) virtual assistant Bixby is another highlight of the phones. Bixby puts forward tough competition to other virtual assistants like Siri of Apple, Google Assistant, Microsoft’s Cortana and Alexa of Amazon.

Both Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ are water and dust resistant. Iris recognition feature and Samsung DeX would probably the major highlights of the phones. Samsung DeX is that feature which lets users use the smartphone like a computer by connecting the phone to monitor, keyboard, and mouse. Both S8 and S8+ run on the company's UI based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
S8 comes with a 5.80-inch screen with a resolution of 1440 x 1960 pixels. It is powered by a 1.9 GHz octa-core processor coupled with
4 GB of RAM. It supports 64 GB of internal storage. As long as camera features are concerned, the phone sports a 12 MP dual camera at the rear and an 8 MP camera on the front for taking selfies. It is powered by a 3000 mAh battery.
On the other end, S8+ comes with two changes. It features a 3500 mAh battery and a bigger screen of 6.2 inches. All other features remain the same.
